Reminiscing the Roots or Our Romance

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the beginnings of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company. When all past members were invited back to BYU for a reunion, we decided to go since we met and married while being partners on the team.

We reminisced with past partners and friends and viewed a fashion show of costumes and practice uniforms from throughout the years (that blue and red thing is what we had to practice in every day! ugh)

We reconnected with Benjamin de Hoyos, the founder of the BYU Ballroom Dance Team when he was a young teacher, and his wife Joephine. Ben was Steve's graduate chairman in the Recreation Department. Josephine helped Steve design the statistical analysis for his Master's Thesis. They were both so sharp and lively!
A bunch of the King family got together and went to the BYU Ballroom Dance Concert, which was fantastic! Unfortunately, I have no pictures of that. It was so fun to see family!
Of course, the best part of the weekend was seeing little Lochten, Jameson and Kamrah, and spending precious time with them.
